Cooper Family Dentistry has been providing for the dental needs of the citizens of Gastonia, Belmont, Dallas, Bessemer City and Kings Mountain since 1946. Originally founded by Dr. Gene Woody in the Commercial Building on Main Street in downtown Gastonia, it subsequently moved to South Street next to Temple Emmanuel. Dr. Woody was joined by his brothers, Dr. Bill Woody in 1952 and Dr. Sid Woody in 1966, all of whom grew up in Bessemer City. The office moved to its present location at 414 South York Street in Gastonia in 1967. Dr. Artie Cooper joined the practice in 1985 shortly before Dr. Gene Woody retired. Dr. Sid Woody retired in 2015, and Dr. Courtney Cooper, Dr. Cooper’s daughter, joined the practice in 2016.
Drs. Artie and Courtney Cooper keep abreast of current technology and offer ample time to answer any questions concerning your care. The doctors manage an exceptionally qualified, professional, and friendly staff.
